VPS E-Mail
A client of mine has shared hosting through Hostmonster, and as a general rule they have no complaints. However, they have various e-mail lists adding up to roughly 30k e-mails per month. They currently use a mailing service, but feel as though they are over paying.
I was instead looking at setting them up a VPS with the sole intention of using it to process e-mails. My question to you is this, is the lowest VPS (CPU 0.84 GHZ, RAM 576 MB, Disk Space 22 GB, Bandwidth 375 GB) offered through Host Gator sufficient? Or is this just a terrible plan in the making?
Any advice/thoughts is greatly appreciated!
P.S. I'm well versed in many programming languages, including PHP so the creation of the e-mail script isn't the issue, but rather the capabilities of the VPS

Ahh....I see its full service. That will be a lot of work to duplicate. I don't know any general vps provider that will allow you to send that much email out without proving that all recipients are opted in. The mail will be assumed spam until then, and you will be suspended in the interim
My recommendation would be to stay with emma or just shop for a cheaper email service.█ Collabora Hosting - Unlimited Windows and Linux Hosting

I was afraid that may be the case . All of the e-mails they have are opted in, is it possible to prove this to a web hosting company prior to purchasing?
