Looking for a VPS host like HawkHost

HawkHost is awesome. I've been with them for 4 months on shared hosting with 2 websites and no down time so far. Speed is great to Asia, Vietnam particularly. I chose my server location to be California.

Now I am considering bringing one website of mine to VPS. But unfortunately HawkHost does not have any VPS server in California.

So if you know or have been with a reliable VPS host in California please recommend

Uptime is very important for me

    Specs:

    RAM 2048MB
    HDD at least 20GB
    Bandwidth at least 200GB
    cPanel around $10/mo
    ---------------------------
    around $75 in total monthly

    sorry guys, wrong forum
    mods please move it thanks

From what I can see, those are just sponsored/paid listings. I would not rely on it.
In fact, I see several supremely crappy hosts on that list.

What other locations does Hawkhost have available for VPS? If you can get something from them around the Dallas Area or something central, you shouldn't see much of a difference (if any). Just a thought, since you are happy with their services, you might want to give one of there other locations a shot and see if the speed is acceptable for you?

I was just about to post that.
I just assumed that maybe you quit hosting VPS. But nope, there it is on your site.
Even saw some specials in the offers forum.

KnownHost.com and ServInt.net both have servers in California and are well respected hosts.

As always I would recommend doing your own research, including discounts and coupons.

Can you use DirectAdmin instead of cPanel?

BuyVM is located in San Jose, California and their OpenVZ or KVM 2048MB RAM plans should match your requirement, although cPanel will be $13 as they don't offer it directly, but do have a $2 discount.

If you are looking for a very cheap unmanaged vps I have heard good things about BuyVM but I wouldn't trust their server performance as much as I would assume they have to oversell their servers quite a bit to make a profit...but I could be wrong! None the less, they are a good unmanaged provider from what I read.
We're not a fully managed provider for the record.

HostSearch listing is free of charge. See http://www.hostsearch.com/register.asp. The list you see on our California page is not a paid listing. FYI, all information is entered by web hosts themselves. That page displays web hosts with *address* in California.
