Best configuration for a database sever?
I am in need of a server especially for MySQL, I need one in the EU and US.
It would also run a lightweight php script so apache will run along side it.
I would think 1Gb/s connection and SSDs is something that would benefit me most. It is a fairly high traffic server so the connection needs to be good.

1Gbps seems to be ok. Just make sure you have good configuration of RAM and Processor based on your traffic.
