IPv6 doesn't work after a few hours!
Hi,
I have a Xen PV vps (Debian 6) with 1 IPv4 & 2 IPv6. The main thing about this vps is that i don't see my ipv6 list in SolusVM Control Panel. My VPS came with an IPv4 and when i requested IPv6 , i received 2 IPv6 and they said that you can add these IPs to your Server.I used this command to add the IPs :
ip -6 addr add IPv6_Address dev eth0
After running that command , Everything is OK and i can reach my other VPS via IPv6 (or any other IPv6 Enabled host), but after a few hours (sometimes 1 or 2 days) that doesn't work, Timeout on IPv6 , but in ifconfig i can see all IPs! I had to Restart Networking Service and add those IPs again.
I also added those IPs as Static IPs in /etc/network/interfaces ,so after restarting network service , they are Ok , but after a few hours , i see the problem again.
What do you think i should do?Last edited by mrm2005; 02-05-2012 at 01:50 PM.

Are you the one asking in LET?
If yes, maybe you can contact your host

where does the traceroute stops when you're getting the timeout?
i would provide that to my host so that they can investigate/fix it...
Good luck!SpiderVPS.com
