Hosting in Europe with 20GB disk storage (and preferably ssh)

Hello all,

I'm looking to find a shared web host in Europe (mainland or UK, doesn't matter) with following characteristics:

1) 20GB disk storage (at least 15), or unlimited if it's truly unlimited Bandwidth is not as important.
2) Unlimited domain names (or the limit of at least 20)
3) Unlimited databases (or a sufficiently large limit, like 20)
4) It would be very nice for it to have SSH access, but this is not a must.
5) Goodies like Postgresql databases, python or ruby, would be nice, but otherwise, all I need is PHP and MySQL.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

What's your budget like?

I would like not to go over $20 / 15 EUR a month.

E.g. I see bluehost.com has everything I need for $6 a month, but their problem is servers in USA (big latency from Serbia). Ideally the cost would be comparable, but I understand hosting in Europe is bit more expensive.

P.S. VPS is not an option - I want to avoid doing administration myself.

There are plenty of providers from the US that have European servers- does the company's location make a difference? The budget is quite reasonable.

Take a look at the reseller hosting advertisements section. There are quite a few reputable providers offering services in that range.

US company with European servers is perfectly acceptable (even preferred with the current USD/EUR exchange rate).

Also, quality of service is very important (little downtime and reasonable performance and customer service).

You have a decent (and realistic) budget so it's easily achievable over here in the UK.

As your requirements are not that high, so I would steer clear of "unlimited" hosts and find a package that will suit your requirements (and a little extra for growth) - you will always get a better service that way.

Steve

I tried BlueHost years ago. Trust me, you don't want to signup with them.

You'd be better of checking reviews at WebHostingTalk.

Good luck.
