Affiliate Links In Signatures
Hi there. Am I allowed to have an affiliate link in my signature?
I know providers have their own links in their signatures but I have an affiliate link from mine and I wouldn't mind people signing up under it.
Another thing: I like my provider. If I suggest them while having their affiliate link in my signature will that be considered a form of self-promotion?
I don't want infractions or nothin' so figured I would ask first. Thanks!0

What if you're working for a company, you get paid per sale you get through your link? Surely that's fair?

If it's in your signature, it should be fine. For example:
The owner of BuyVM, DeltaAnime, he has his site in his signature.

Aldryic C'boas, one of his staff members, also has his the site in his signature.

They both make money from people buying service from the links in their signature. One condition that sounds fair for allowing a referral link in a signature might be that you aren't allowed to promote that provider in any discussions. I could go with that.
Instead of going like "Oh you should try my host they're cool." and having the link in my signature, I could pretend I was also a provider and suggest someone else that wasn't listed in my signature.
I think it would be a great way to show the community what hosts clients actually use (by viewing their signatures) and allow those clients to get affiliate credit at the same time.0
