Starting My First Reseller Account
Hello everyone!
I am bran new to the forum, and this is my very first post so please forgive me if what I am asking is really to hard to answer.
I have a hosting company currently with over 100 accounts currently.
We are looking into starting to do some reselling. Does any know what a good price for reselling would be and for how much space?
Regards,
Fred Williams

There are many factors that determine pricing. What are your costs? How much overhead does each additional account add? What's your target market? What's the price at your competition?
To get an idea of what other hosts on WHT are selling for, you can browse through the offers forums.

I've only just started selling web services.
As Brentt said, you must take into consideration the cost of running possibly new servers(?!) and an increase of bandwidth and resources.
In any market there's nearly always one person who will install resource intensive scripts, ex: 20 Resellers with 20 clients each, this produces another 400 clients on your servers that you must watch and administer resources.

I'd recommend that you write up a business plan addressing things like what features and specifications you wish to provide, what your costs would be, how you plan to get customers, how many customers you expect to get, etc. This will help you figure out good numbers to use

Research market and analyze requirements/usage from existing customers to come up with competive reseller plans.

It might really not be, but If you spend some time you can find what you need.

I appreciate this topic as I've been exploring the same issue. For example, I've thinking about having different prices for different kinds of sites - business, charities, personal sites/blogs. Has anyone tried that?
