Is 500gb & 1Tb sas drives are 7200 rpm or 10k / 15k rpm drives?
Is it Maximum 2 drive slot in Xeon E3-1230 server or can you mount 3rd harddrive (ssd) aswell?

The server you mentioned we buy pre-built from Dell and it includes 2 x 7200rpm SAS. There is no upgrading the hardware on this one.
If you wish to custom build an e3-1230 you can do so from the sign up link in the config below. We build this server on 4 bay hot swap SuperMicro chassis. You can build it with any combo of SSD, 15k SAS and Sata as you want. There is an option to upgrade the proc within the cart.
