More WordPress weirdness

First of all, thanks to HostMist for getting me out of Scott's hair over at OnProMedia. I really feel horrible about all that. I won't bad mouth him. He just got stung by a host and I overreacted. it's best I left though.

anyhow, WordPress.....again.

At first, I thought it was an FTP problem; I fixed that.

Please on my one domain Here. It does not do this. All my updates and plugins install perfectly.

But on this domain here, I get this error, when I try and download a plugin internally with WordPress:

Code:
Quote:
Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file /home/thoughts/public_html/wp-content/uploads/post-ratings.tmp because Permission denied in /home/thoughts/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 177 Warning: unlink(/home/thoughts/public_html/wp-content/uploads/post-ratings.tmp) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /home/thoughts/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 509 Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.
Any ideas?

Driving me batty. and considering I'm 39 and about half shot. It's gonna be a short drive.

No, what i want to say is that some software like joomla change the file ownership, not the permissions.

Nope, that's not the problem. I changed those and it's still tossing the error.

I have run into ownership problems when I use my root log in to add files to an account; they are owned by the root user instead of the account.

To the OP, these errors seem related to a plug in. If you disable that plug in, do the errors go away? If it does, you might try deleting the plug in and then re-installing it through the Admin interface.

NOTHING to do with plug in, it's a file setting...permission... somewhere. Just don't know where.
