My computer seems a let down?
I really don't know what's wrong with my system. I have a decent computer, it should run anything perfectly but it's not satisfying my opinions on it. I've seen lower spec macs run faster than my PC.
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz
8GB DDR3 1666MHz Corsair RAM
2 x 1TB HDD WD
NVIDIA GTX550Ti
Windows 7 Home Premium
I've seen older 2010 Mac's out-perform my PC? Have I done anything wrong?

Your specs look good. Can you please elaborate why are you saying that your system is not doing good? How do you usually use it? What applications are opened at the same time?

+1 for CCleaner. It's a free software but it does magic.

another +1 for CCleaner, but PrinceK you should be more specific about the problems you are having so we can suggest things. With the processor and RAM that you have, probably one of the best investments would be to just get an SSD for your boot drive. I couldn't be happier with mine!

I also swear by CCleaner. It cleans up the registry garbage and I have never had a problem with it jacking my PC.
Hosting is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.

I can see one reason, "Windows 7 Home Premium".
Switch to CentOS or Arch and you see wonders.

I don't think that the OS is the cause of his issue. If he just gave us some more details of what he's doing why it's slowing, we can provide him the right answers.

Sorry for the late reply. Anyway, yeah I've been researching and it seems my HDD's are the problem. They're both WD Greens (Eco-Friendly non powerful drives). Hopefully when I sell my next item I'll grab myself a OCZ 60GB SSD to install my OS and BF3 on.
And in response to Ritchiesame, I've got like 1.8TB overall left-over.

Yeah... 5400 RPM hard drives as a system drive, that's why it's so damn slow...
I haven't used anything slower than 10,000rpm in 5 or 6 years as a system drive. Now after using SSD's I'll never be able to go back to a mechanical system driveI specialize in neck beards
