Need Suggestion for Server Move Germany to USA and Backup Issue

Hello Friends,
We have a dedicated server Germany with Centos and cPanel. Now we want to move new dedicated server in USA and total disk is 120GB. We can do it via WHM to WHM backup but it is take a long time. We are thinking to buy R1Soft backup services from 3rd party and take backup and restore from 3rd party server. Is it ok or is there any alternate solution?

Thanks in advance,

Even if you go with r1soft backup, it will consume time in performing a backup and restoring it on server in other facility. I will recommend you to perform migration using rsync from one server to other.

Well, it really depends on what you consider "a long time" is. If the data center you are moving to is on the same network you could work out faster than expected transfer speeds... Not the case?

You may find it faster to backup to a disk in the server or another server on the same network and ship the physical drive to the new data center for restoration.

You can take a dump on the disk and ship it to USA and then start the rsync so that when you are ready to do a flash cut, both the sites are in sync. You can also just use the rsync and get it done..
