Hosting w/Jabber (XMPP) for user's domain included
Hello,
Do any well-known hosts nowadays offer Jabber service hosting when providing shared/reseller types of hosting?
What I mean is allowing users to create JIDs based upon domains they host (e.g., if Ihost example.com with the hster, I could create JIDs like user@example.com)
TWIMC: I know how to install my own Jabber service on a VPS/DS/etc., the question is not about that.
Thanks.

i'm not sure what you mean, but if you're asking if you're allowed to install a jabber service on your machine, i think that as long as it's not forbidden, it's allowed.
please correct me if you're asking a different question...

In what little searching I did, I was able to find DreamHost, which provides shared server hosting, as well as Jabber hosting. This is probably not going to be a very common feature. You may want to bump up to a cloud or VPS server to balance privileges and price.

I was talking about Jabber service as part of shared/reseller service. I.e., just as mail services (SMTP/IMAP4/POP3) are part of hosting services, and DB (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL etc).

Yes, the feature is uncommon. I have heard f Dreamhost as well, but was curious to know, whether they are unique in this respect.
Of course I know how to set up my own Jabber server and why clouds are the best approach to do so.
Thanks.

You might want to find a host that will put you on IceWarp mail server, and allow you to use the IM features (it's XMPP) as well as to define your own gateways...
