We bought a Racksaver 1100 from someone here on WHT a few months ago, its been sitting in the closet since it showed up, all I did when i bought it was a simple power on....

I bought a new hard drive, put it in, and hooked everything up, but the monitor wont respond. I tired multiple cards, but nothing works. I even tried different slots

Anyone have any suggestions? The MB is a supermicro 370DLE

well, if found out though a few more tests, the MB is doa. On bootup there's 1 beep, and in the manual it says:

POST Error Beep Codes
1 beep: Refresh failure - the memory refresh circuitry on the motherboard is
faulty. (Fatal error)

So time to contact this WHT member, since we did have a guarantee that the machine would not be DOA on arrival. Hopefully they are willing to work this out, even though the sale was completed in December, the machine has been sitting here in my closet the whole time waiting to be put online. (there was no time limit on the agreement...it just happens I didnt need to put the server online until now)

Guess it will have to wait (sigh)
