Hello guys,

I am having the following issue. The hard disk of my server failed (its not a big deal it only has issues in minor sectors). I installed a new hard drive and a new OS (centos 6) so I need to transfer all my files from my old drive to the new... Should i use dd command? Also I want to know what files should I transfer. I used that server for virtualization (solusvm) so thats the only that I need to transfer. But what about iptables etc?

Any help would be thankfull.

dd or snapshot and move useful files.

Compare your old iptable rules with new rules(note: centos 5 and 6 are diffrent :l )
