My experience with Trendy site builder


The Best Part

Trendy site builder , the software which i was dreaming from a long time. I used a lot of site builders but not at all satisfied with them and my search stopped at Trendy Site builder. It has excellent features. What not it don't have ?? The makers of this software have integrated everything in a simple and understandable way for people to create Flash websites. But for novices like me need a little guidance in getting a good knowledge about some unique features they provide. As they offer Live chat support , u can get in touch with any of the agents and can get things solved instantly. This is the best thing that they have as I worked with other software's and most of them does not offer any kind of assistance. Even some having best agents to assist , they are having pathetic software's. The most attractive part of this site builder is features like SEO optimized site, mobile site, facebook fan page creator and Live spokes person. These are the features that prompted me
to tryout this software.

The Ugly Part

After checking out the website and seeing the features they offer, I could not stop my excitement and immediately logged into live chat to explore about the site builder and its features in detail.
After waiting for more than 10 minutes, I got hold of someone named Roger.K.
I Questioned about the SEO service and to my surprise , I got a shocking answer that they are not offering SEO service. It was really a Shame for an employee to work without atleast knowing the services what they offer. SEO optimized site was advertised on their website Home page. They even did not know what was mentioned in their Home page. So there is no Question of asking what was there in the other pages of their site. As our conversation goes on, I got mixed and half answers to my Questions.
The answers were in short and not in a detailed manner. At the end of my conversation, i was in a dilemma whether to go with this software or not.
As we cannot judge a book by its cover , I decided to tryout this software even my first experience with their support sucks.

The Worst Part

I started working on the software and loved the features even though most of the features are unknown to me. Evert time when I stuck with editing, I contacted trendyflash guys and chatted with agents Mark.P, Luis,Danny.C,David. Most of them are Friendly unlike the first guy who I have interacted initially. After contacting with them multiple times , I got to know that they are providing support from India. They never showed in interest in letting know their company details even if they claim it to a US based company. I do not know how far it was true. These guys were having a toll free number and not at all displaying their number on their website. I can understand the problem in it as Indians does not speak English properly and that proved as I have spoken with their Manager. He tried to manage a lot with his speaking skills but I did not understand most of his words. He Stammered a lot as if he was speaking to a Devil.
Guess the name of the name of the Manager for world's favorite Site builder ???
To my Surprise he was none other than Roger.K , the guy with which I had a horrible experience in Live chat and now in Phone. I think It was not his real name and also his fellow agents names as they are all Indians.
They were cheating US Citizens by acting as if they were located in USA.

Nationality does not matters if everything works fine. They have designed an excellent site builder but i am unable to publish the site to my domain name which i have created with their site builder.
My situation became like having a Lamborghini or a Ferrari but unable to drive on it.

The worst part came into picture when I waited patiently for 1 week to resolve the issue and when asked to fix the issue , Roger asked me to cancel the order in a loud manner. Being a manger i did not expect this kind of gesture from him. I wasted my time and waited so long as I loved this software so much.
When I contacted their support regarding my issues they asked me to write an email to support@trendyflash.com with my FTP information. I sent my FTP information with out any hesitation and even did not thought about any security issues as i wish to use their site builder for my website. They said it would be resolved with in 24 hours. Even after 48 hours, I did not receive any reply from them and my issue was not resolved .when contacted them again , they asked me to wait for 24 hours , after 24 hours they said it would be escalated to their higher technical team. I did not understand what they did during those 72 hours. Waited , waited and waited patiently and contacted them once again after 24 hours. They asked some more time to fix my issue. Atleast they did not email me what is going on with my website during those 4 days. After 2 days I contacted them once again and enquired about the issue .Mark.P asked me to write an email to support@trendyflash.com once again.
When I saw those sentences, I Questioned whether they have received my initial email ? Their email team even does not know about my issue. This is how their support works. I was really fed up with them and Requested him to transfer me to their manager. After long discussion I was transferred to their manager. Finally i got hold of a higher official and When I heard his name it was like a Double Blow for me as his name was ROGER.K.
Roger called me on my number and Speaking with him was a nightmare. I did not understand what he was speaking and he did not understand what I am saying. He stammered like someone was ****ing his ass. I really do not understand why these guys do not recruit people who are located in states or atleast good English speaking guys when dealing business with US citizens.

Roger never showed interest in resolving my issue and requested me to cancel my order.I was totally disappointed with the issue got handled. I have worked with a lot of companies in the past but have not seen such a manger who is arrogant and strong headed personality with a rude attitude. It was a painful process of talking and working through all of my problems related to site builder with him. When I heard his words of cancellation my anger level reached to the peak and if he stood infront of me at that instance i would have shoved my Baseball bat into his Ass.
If a manger delivers this kind of assistance then how can we expect good support from other agents ?

Bottom Line

To the people who are using Trendy site builder and who wish to use Trendy site builder , please stay away from it. Never ever write an email to their support because you will have to wait for ages to receive a reply and there is no guarantee about the reply even after waiting for such a long period.
Never try to call their support as you do not understand what they were speaking.
Coming to Live chat , the people involved in it were with half knowledge.
Finally stay away from their manager because your issues will never get resolved with a person who is having such a bull **** attitude and he even does not know what was there in his company's website.

I am not going to use the site builder even though I liked it and I Strongly recommend others not to use their site builder.

I couldn't agree more. The actual site builder is robust and awesome, but their support sucks!

Everyone was very friendly, i just found the menus to be confusing...

Great website design and layout though...

Yes, same problem here. Their support could not be worse.
I don't understand what is wrong with these guys. Chat has no idea what is going on and can't answer anything. All they say is please email support@

After two weeks of emailing support with no replies I received a response from Outlook saying they deleted my email without even displaying it on their screen (I sent my emails with request a read receipt) .

Finally I received a reply. But only after telling them if they didn't reply I would write a bad review on WHT.
They wanted root access and the server IP they said they would be glad to fix the issue.
I asked them if there was any other way to help us with the problem and here we are again....a full week later and no reply.

So at this point I think it's best to delete the software off of the servers and warn people not to business with these guys.

Are they actually based offshore though or is support just outsourced?

This was a great read, I like Trendy but haven't spent too long using it, I avoid Flash as much as possible.

My guess is they are both in India. Of course when you check their Whois it is registered through Whois Privacy Protection Service.

For some good reading do a search on Google for "Trendy Web Builder Support Sucks" Look at the CNET reviews especially.

Quite a bump

I can't really imagine why anyone uses flash website builders now. Flash is fine but a complete website with flash while its becoming obsolete and being dropped from support with certain tablets, pcs, and phones. Seems like you are going to build a site just to have to redo it in a few years. Or immediately if it's a professional website.

Hey techjr yes I agree and good point!

Another great reason to stop using it now. We were looking for an easy builder for our clients. We still have SiteZen (outdated now of course) but keep it around for our old clients and RVSite Builder which for first timers might be too much of a learning curve so something else was needed.
