I'm getting a ton of emails about sale offers, but most of them are from companies I would not want to use anyway: MyHosting, iPage, CoolHandle, etc. I'd rather pay $2-3 more per month (average savings of some of those coupons), just to not have to deal with the headaches of using a cheap service.

I believe it is for your first payment. So you can sign up for more than a month, but you'll be paying in advance.
