everyone know that whm/cpanel uses lots of resources. What are the other option to lookout for?

I'm new to vps. I only know cPanel to host my site. what other is good and light, speed which doesnt use as much resources as whm/cpanel.

whm alternative? I do not know commands

DirectAdmin is a great alternative, as Orien said, though you'll still need to know certain commands and be able to work through the CLI. DirectAdmin is a bit more basic, though the learning curve is minimal. It's actually quite easy to use.

Webmin isn't going to be a good replacement for cPanel or DirectAdmin. Webmin provides an interface for various server management functions, but it still requires a you to know which steps to take, in order, to get most things done.

They do have Virtualmin, which is more like cPanel. But I found it harder to use than Kloxo (coming from a cPanel background, that is).

I prefer Kloxo for a free control panel. It is more "transactional based", and will work more like cPanel than any other free control panel. Their forums are active, and the people there are helpful.

Different control panels are down to personal opinion half the time. I personally would not move from cpanel after trying directadmin and a few others. Even though they maybe easier to use than cPanel the amount of customisable features are less.

Kloxo is a great alternative to WHM/cPanel and it is free. It does not really support x86_64 yet.

You can get a VPS license for Directadmin for less than 5 dollars a month very good alternative.

From experience, DirectAdmin offers an excellent alternative solution and is great value for money.
