Well I decided to buy/rent a virtual machine from quickweb to play with but I do have a few questions about the whole vps thing.

What is the burst ram I've seriously never heard of it?
And what the difference of centos and fedora?
And what is Xen and OpenVS cause I've only heard about parallels and VMware.
I know I've kinda spent my money on it but I don't really care cause it's super cheap.

@ Quickweb(If you read this) What is "Testbox" cause I've bought it for 1 year(the 3 bucks a month plan) so will you cancel it like 1 month later or something?

I've already got it from quickweb so far trying to get my old memories of hostgator vps back. I can't believe how shared hosting numbed down all this coolness of the ssh. But I will purchase a "bigger" vps from somewhere else that got good bang for the buck but for now regain the memories.

It's basically RAM that you can make use of if there is excess RAM available.

They're different Linux branches - you're better off Googling this.

They're different virtualization types - both with different benefits and disadvantages.

Xen offers swap RAM, is less likely to be oversold, more expensive, more isolated than OpenVZ, etc. OpenVZ generally offers better performance, is more likely to be oversold, generally cheaper, etc.

Thanks for hosting with us, that is the old name of the plan we now call it Budget Box.

Why does the addon menu things still say "testbox" which is kinda scary to look at test normally refers to guinea pigs and the customer is supposed to be a guinea pig for the virtual server.

So far so good no problems yet.

we will just need to edit that. You can upgrade between VZ1-VZII

@ Mike V By any chance you know what you've removed cause I have no memory of what was there like 5 seconds ago. (I can't remember non important stuff for longer than 3mins)
