I just thought of my other suggestion ....

Corey is releasing a new skin soon that has i think 5 color possibilities. Any chance you'll do something similar?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and questions. (negative and positive).

I'll try to respond to a few things that caught my attention.

As far as the design being similar to the current design. Yes, absolutely. Rob and I talked about how NOT many people disliked WHT's current design. If anything, the consensus LIKED how it was. But Rob still wanted to get something new and fresh up that also included the additions and changes he wanted. So going in I knew to keep the over all look the same. Also color scheme was also talked about. We again agreed it should stay the same as I'm sure its installed in all of our heads that WHT is blue, gray, and white. Originally the new design was actually a blue header. But it was requested later to add the gray bar like it has now. We did not want to lose WHT's visual. Hopefully people think I succeeded in both keeping the originals feel, and making it more modern.

One person mentioned making the gradient at the top more smooth. I just want to make sure its known that the screen shot shown is of low quality. It makes it seem like a gradient of lines, but really in the original it is smooth.

To those that do not like it: I apologize. Designing will always be a job based on opinions. And with a forum as popular as WHT, (or even a small forum), its impossible to get a 100% positive response. Hopefully in time you will grow to accept the changes.

Thanks for that. But I do want to clarify that while I created all the above, I currently only own and run ravio and vbskins.

I will let you know tonight in a bit the load times. Right now Im cleaning the code and doing cross browser testing. As soon as its done Ill get some quick numbers on dial up and cable.

Thanks for the feedback. This template will not at all be like alot of my skins. Its really not graphic intensive at all. Most of the images are not even 1k, most are just bytes.

Yeah man! Keep those top of page ADs small and above the forum control panel buttons.

I like the news panel to the right.

    It looks great.
What does one host say to the other? "(HostA) Want to go see a movie?" "(HostB) Sure, can your parents drive?"

I'm premium, and no, I did not have to pay $6 a month to figure that out.

New design looks wonderful - great job

The additions make a lot of sense for WHT & should take it to the next level of value for both consumers & hosts alike.

Ok, I just tested on my laptop dialing up on AOL. First load took 5 seconds. And each page after this took 2-3 seconds.

On my cable it is a blip on the screen.

As said before, this is not a graphic intensive design at all. The biggest image in mass is the logo at 5k. Everything else is all bytes, not even 1k. Plus this style utilizes text navigation in the header so thats 7 less images alone.
