I am glad to see positive response. VERY glad. To tell the truth, I was hopeing that at least 60% of the responses would be positive. With a number of small changes, I just was not sure what everyone would think. However, much thought on compromise went into the decision process.
Yes, thanks to Corey for the quality work!Robert Marsh

I like it.
I especially like the placement of the top ad.
I am a bit sad to think that the bottom ad will be on all pages, though. Could we only have static ads in that case, no animated gif?
Also, it's a wee bit too blue for my taste. But even so it's a very good skin.http://www.voilaweb.com - the Social Internet Toolbox.

Shouldn't be coming here for the looks anyway, but still, I like the new look, especially the less intrusive adds.Proud member of the RIAA closed quaters combat cell !!!

The simplicity of the existing design is one of WHT's main strengths. Yes, it could do with a facelift but I think incorporating a Yaxay style (yes, Yaxay looks nice but individual reply areas are virtually unusable - and pretty annoying too) is a bad idea. Maybe some tweaking of the ads, colours and a new logo?

If you'll all just take a closer look, you'll see that most of the changes are cosmetic "HTML" changes. No large sums of graphics (though we haven't seen the postbit or anythign like that), and just a teeny bit of text added that won't take more than a couple seconds AT MOST on a dialup line.

Anyhow, we could still keep the default skin as another skin and install the new version as default. Takes 5 mins to do and keeps everyone happy. I love the new design and have about 4-5 Ravio skins on the HostNexus forum.

No offense meant by my last comment but i really don't like the design. I dunno why but corey's style is getting on my nerves - it's EVERYWHERE i look.
Its the gimmicks he adds that nobody uses, such as the post new thread on the homepage button which just annoy me for some reason. Oh and that(no offense) i don't like him as a person...
I'm just saying that we should still have the option of the old style, as im sick of ravio in general. It all looks the same.
But ahh well, its late and im feeling stressed out in general anyway so that was my vent for tonight... i'll be back tomorrowGone.

You think is a reason you see Ravio's skins everywhere?

I think it's a nice upgrade to the current look. The current one was a nice upgrade to the one before that.
It's a good decision Robert

While pricing is not set, the banners will have a CPM cost of around $8 but will be available starting around a minimum $100 spend in a month.
By the end of next week, you will be able to buy banners and showcase packages online using a credit card and submit your ad at the same time.
There will be some great packages bundling inventory from all of our sites and maybe some new ones.
We'll have a web page up on Monday listing our new packages.
We will, of course, still reserve the right to accept or reject any advertising from anyone.

I think it looks great too. I'm not sure I like the directory part of it, mostly because there are so many ways it can be abuse, but I guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes.
But overall, I'm all in favor of getting it here asap.- prime [admin@exclaimhosting.com]

Excellent!
Im a little concerned with the directory idea aswell. It could be abused, but obviously that thought is coming from someone who hasnt seen how it all works yet - Cant wait.Matt Wallis
