Hi All,
Doing a bit of market research.
What price would resellers be willing to pay for a VPN service, that they can white label and sell to their clients?
The service would come with a WHMcs module for complete automation, also it would come with the really easy to use OpenVPN client.
Thanks

It really depends how much profit they want to make. Some will want more than others.

why dont you test the market by throwing out some prices. If people buy you have priced it right if not lower it. Also look and see what others are selling it at.

I haven't really found any people that are offering this as a reseller service, most sell directly to the customer.

It is easier to put prices down than up, so you can start with slightly more expensive pricing and lower the prices later.

Yeh, been thinking that, also can give discounts for the more people buy.

OP I am Interested in this, I currently offer PPTP only solutions. I have two dedicated technicial assistants but have never thought about moving to OpenVPN.
PM me your skype, let's discuss this.

Thanks for the interest, I wouldn't suggest moving away from PPTP as some clients do prefer that.
OpenVPN can be a nice alternative to offer people though.

What I meant was, offering OpenVPN as a alternative to PPTP as a different product group.

How about doing a free beta testing limited to a certain amount of people, Then when people have tested them, ask them to do a survey on how much they'll pay etc and work from there

I have already done that, there are 6 companies testing the service at the moment in a beta type environment.
However there is a very mixed response on the preferred pricing model.
Think I might have to start a more public beta in a few weeks time.

No one wants to show their cards first. I think a tiered system is going to work the best, starting near retail pricing them moving down to a max of 50%
