Proxmox buzz pls

Hello I dont remember if I did test proxmox, that was supposed to be free but then after is installed on ur server you have to pay fees for each vps you make,or in other words howeverly is not like open vz a truly free for creating vps, please refresh my mind because Im almost sure that with proxmox in the end anyway you have to pay some bread

Thread Summary
Thread Summary From ZKuJoe, "Proxmox is entirely free unless you purchase support..."

Refer to SagoJonB's post for a quick summary of vitals, and find more information directly from the Proxmox wiki

Proxmox is compatible with OpenVZ and KVM on same host node, but not XEN . There is no WHMCS API or IP Management tool. Need to ensure server can have Virtual Environment based on processor.

A hundred bucks says if you type 'www.proxmox.com' into your browser, you'll find your answer.

ProxMox is entirely free unless you purchase support. I've been using it for a while now and have yet to see any bill for it.

You probably want to go http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Main_Page and find out a little bit more about it for yourself. Proxmox does openvz and kvm, meaning you can have KVM and OpenVZ VM's on the same host node. It does not support Xen. You can create VPS'es. Selling them I suppose would be up to you, but of course, you could. Proxmox does not yet have a user-facing web-based interface (only administrator-facing), but I believe that Proxmox 2.0 will whenever that actually gets released. Proxmox is solid and stable and easy to use. We use it for various implementations.

If your client has to have or really wants a web interface to perform various functions like SolusVM or similar provides, then Proxmox may not be the right way to go, but otherwise I would recommend it, yes.

proxmox isn't marketable unless you're selling a full internal node or something. While proxmox 2.0 has some sort of customer management there is no WHMCS api nor is there proper IP management or any of the other usual needed things.

Proxmox is nice for internal systems but not something to give to your VPS customers.

Please do:

df -h

and paste it here as it's quite possible he sold you a 'virtual dedicated'. There has been a few providers that have done this on here so it wouldn't surprise me.
