    VolumeDrive not replying to emails?

    Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone is able to contact VolumeDrive.com with the emails they list.

I have sent messages via their contact form, 3 to the info@volumedrive.com and support@volumedrive.com and had NO replies.

This is the exact message I sent:

    Code:
    Hello there,

I am interested in ordering one of your VPS packages and just have a few questions before I purchase it.

1: Can I access the VPS via SSH and FTP/SFTP?
2: Are the public domains branch of your master one? (volumedrive.com)
3: Is it possible to link up a registered domain to a web server on the VPS?
4: Do any backups occur of the system on another drive?
5: Is it possible to run a Minecraft server with a web server on the same VPS?
6: Last of all, do I need the cPanel for a web server?

Sorry if I seem new to this sort of thing, I just have to be really sure.
I'd like to move my ever-growing server over, this seems like a pretty cool host!

    Thanks for your time
    (Real name)
The questions may be pretty obvious but I'm partly new to the VPS thing.

If VolumeDrive could respond to the emails or respond on these forums would be appreciated, as I do need to get this new server up and running.

    Thanks,
    - Nunnsy

There are many VPS providers out there, if VolumeDrive isn't responding to your emails maybe they aren't 'the one' for you. I know many providers around here would love to have your business, and wouldn't avoid your emails (if that is what they're doing).

Could you recommend some, the reason I'm eager to go with them is because of their great prices.

Volumedrive's support and sales is pathetic. They have been promising a ticket portal for months now and haven't delivered it. I'm beginning to think they lied about that to get people off their back. You can only contact them via email and they often do not respond at all.

My recommendation: VPSLatch.net ; HudsonValleyHost and for a UK VPS, zFast

I have found a couple of phone numbers. I might give them a call and ask them to check their email...

Those numbers go to personal cell phones. You're not going to get an answer.

I have personally used and can recommend 123Systems and Turnkey Internet.

It seems like that's a bit too much work just to get some basic responses to your questions. What do you expect to do when (if) you have a problem with your server? I would recommend searching these forums for a provider that offers some sort of management with good support. You said that you were new to having a VPS so I would imagine that you'd like having a good support team to fall back on.

Sure they might offer great prices, but that won't do you much good if you can't set up your server properly by yourself.

PS to answer some of those questions:

    1. You should get root SSH access to your VPS.
    5. Yes you can, depending on the resources available.
    6. You don't need cPanel to run a web server, but it simplifies the process. Not all providers offer cPanel for free, either it is included in the price or it is available for an additional monthly cost.

Checking them all out, thanks. I really need lots of RAM and CPU, not so much on the storage for a nice price.

    Thanks Jeff, that's helped.

    A few more answers:

    2. I'm not sure what you mean by public domain.
    3. Absolutely you can.
    4. Unless advertised, no. You would have to do it yourself (and I highly recommend that you do regardless of whether or not your host claims to offer backups).

    You go with them?

Do they respond to the numbers at contact.volumedrive.com? I don't want to keep calling them because of the costs.

Can you at least get in contact with them. It's like the whole company has been abandoned for me.

Josh answered my 60mins back. I guess he/they are working to get things fixed. Till then responses mean nothing.
