How does DNS work for Xen Hypervisors?
I always see LowEndAdmin yelling about how vps hosts have got both DNSs on the same box. How does DNS work for the VPS scene?
I'm not talking about in an actual virtual machine, I mean for the whole hypervisor. Does the hypervisor have to have dns servers to do outbound lookups?

I think you don't understand what the problem is with two DNS servers at the same server. For example when DNS server 1 is offline because of a hardware failure, DNS 2 is left and can be used to resolve your domain (for example Yourwebhoster.eu). This is for DNS servers that host domain records.
DNS servers to resolve the domains (any domain) you also need DNS servers. Those DNS servers should also be seperated on different servers, because if one server fails your VPS won't work properly.

Gotcha alrighty. Since you're here a few other questions then...
Can solusvm be run on a virtual machine on one of the hypervisors? If so, is that advised against for any reason?
Does the backup/screenshot feature in solusvm work yet? If so, can it be used to backup to an offsite server?

1. Yes it works
2. I don't use it, I run the backups from the vps itself. You can backup to an offsite location, but I'm not sure if the VPS can be online when the backup is made. You can ask that on the solusvm forums
