BurstNET doubt
Hello,
I need to buy a budget vps, and BurstNET seems pretty good, but a policy they have concerns me.
http://www.burst.net/policy/managed.shtml
they charge for every os reinstallation.
I'm not sure but seems to me that other vps providers don't do that, I've seen in solusvm an option to re-install lots of distro flavors.
is the burstnet policy normal?
I guess I will re-install the os sometimes.

I could be wrong but I believe that link you provided was for dedicated servers and not vps accounts.

"A flat rate of $9.95 is charged for VPS operating system re-installation."

They both get the job done, in my opinion. As long as I can start, stop and reload the OS, I'm good.

vePortal works fine, and Burst has several OS images you can reinstall from there. Unless you need a managed VPS, BurstNET is fine. But like all un-managed VPS, they will not offer other services for free (like installing Apache, MySQL, PHP, etc. unless you also purchase a control panel).

Just to re-stress:
We only charge for VPS OS installs if you ask us to do it for somecrazyunknown reason. Within the vePortal control panel is the ability for the client to do their own reinstall of about two dozen different OS flavors at the click of a single button. There's no charge for that.
Heck, you could reinstall every 20 minutes if you'd like. The charge only applies if you have us do it.
