managed vps with directadmin or kloxo
Hello,
I need to buy a low budget managed vps, with kloxo or directadmin.
My only requirement is to have at least 256 MB RAM.
And low price is my first priority.
Please give me some recommendations.
Thanks.█BestValueHost

"low budget", "kloxo" and "managed" probably don't go together. Most of the managed VPS will feature either cPanel, DirectAdmin or Plesk. The reason is that it is easier for the provider to deliver the management needed with those control panels.
Kloxo is often used in either semi-managed or un-managed VPS.

What type of data transfer and disk space requirement do you have? I understand the main thing your worried about is having 256MB of ram, but i'm sure that you have some sort of requirement for the other two.

Get an unmanaged 512 mb account. You can find affordable offers at lowendbox.com. You should be able to do it for around $5/month. Just follow the guide.Last edited by ajonate; 08-28-2011 at 09:39 PM.

The funny thing about "managed" is that it means different things to different people. Perhaps you could tell us why you believe that you can't get by without managed service?
The point I'm trying to make is that my guide will take you by the hand and show you exactly what to do. At the end of the 30 page guide you will have a fully configured hosting server, and also enough knowledge to administrate Linux.

Thanks ajonate, and you are absolutely right, the problem is I'm not gonna be the end user for that vps, and my friend doesn't have time to learn. he has basic linux knowledge.

You're not going to find managed VPS for $10 per month.

I looked through your guide. You did a great job with it, and explained a lot of things that someone without sysadmin experience might not know.
But I have to disagree that someone with little to no experience will have enough knowledge to successfully administer a server after going through a 30-page tutorial.
