Upgrading CentOS 32Bit to 64Bit...
Hey.
I have a VPS @ Hostpolar and have ~12GB of data on it. When I first took out the VPS I only had 1GB RAM and saw no need for the 64 bit OS.
Now I am on a 6GB server and cannot use the RAM because of the 32bit limitations. So, I ask you all, is there a way to upgrade CentOS from 32-bit to 64-bit without having to transfer the data, reinstall the new OS, and download the data back?
Cheers for any help in advance.

Unfortunately there is no supported upgrade path from CentOS 32-bit to CentOS 64-bit. While some people have attempted it with varying levels of success, I would recommend not even trying it.
You will need to perform a fresh 64-bit installation.

Upgrading is impossible.
But you can make another partition and install 64 bits there and then transfer the data with ease.Webuzo - Multi user control panel supporting Apache, NGinx, MySQL, MariaDB, Percona, LiteSpeed, Varnish, WordPress, etc.
Virtualizor - VPS Control Panel supporting OpenVZ, Xen, KVM and has 200+ OS Templates
Softaculous - Auto Installer with 400+ scripts for Webuzo, cPanel, DirectAdmin, InterWorx, Plesk, etc.

Alright. I have used SolusVM's Quick Backup function which I have been told only backs up the files and not the OS.
I will download it, reinstall the OS and then restore the backup.
