Tennessee VPS?
Does anyone know of a company that sells VPSs that are in a Tennessee datacenter?
I've looked and looked but haven't been able to find one but did find several Datacenters here in TN.
Not to be rude but please do not say things such as "Why TN?" or suggest me another plan. I NEED a VPS with 1-4GB RAM (Xen or OpenVZ) LOCATED in a TN datacenter.
Budget for this is $50/month.

I ran a search on the VPS section for "Tennessee" and found nothing. Does it really need to be in Tennessee? Can you explain why?

Perhaps you need to do a city search in Memphis and Nashville. There has to be a hosting company in one of those cities who does VPS.

The bandwidth in Tennessee is horrible, for starters. I can't imagine many states being worse (Alaska, Hawaii, the Dakotas). That's probably a primary reason you don't really see anything hosted in TN. Atlanta is a hub, however, and is just as good. Or Chicago. The geographic distance is negligible.
JaguarPC is in Atlanta.
Futurehosting is in Chicago.
Memphis would be better than Nashville. (And let's be honest, Memphis isn't really part of Tennessee anyway -- more like northern Mississippi, politically and culturally. Sort of like how El Paso isn't really part of Texas.) The only datacenters I can think of off-hand are in Knoxville, at the far eastern tip of that state.Last edited by kpmedia; 08-23-2011 at 05:17 PM.
