How can I use Multiple IPs one for each user?
So i dont really know how to do what i want, so i came here to find some solutions..
Well i needed to know multiple things to do what i want, but i dont know what i need to know rsrs..
Well..
I need to create user's on Ubuntu, but each user using 1 ip adress, kinda of a vps..
So the ideia was each user have its own IP so it can use all ports and individual mysql instance, and more benefits of having its own ip. But still have a jailed shell acess(limited user), so that it can only use what i provided.
Is this possible? How could i do this?
Thanks...

If you're looking for individual MySQL instances, you might want to run a virtualization. OpenVZ maybe.

Likely what you want is not possible without using a jail like system like OpenVZ or Linux-VServer.

$6/mo gets you a Burstnet linux VPS with 2 IP's as default. Have them log in as different users... that's got you nearly 100% of the way there, I'm sure you could work out the rest. For $6 you can't really go wrong I suppose. I use one of their $6 ones as a client for my development server.

The best option would be to get a VPS, with separate IP's. Most come with 2, but additional IP's can be purchased through your provider.

I alerady got a VPS with 2 usable ip's.. But i wanted to know if there any method, so i can create more users at ubuntu and make them with separate ip's, so they can use all ports, apache, mysql and etc.
Likely what you want is not possible without using a jail like system like OpenVZ or Linux-VServer.

I got a example i think..
I got a shared hosting at bluehost with dedicated IP.. At the FTP account when i go back all the directory i see all the commom folders of linux.. So i guess for each bluehost user they create a limited user in the system is that correct?
So that's what i wanna do.

Interesting. This question was asked in the 70's when IBM 370 main frame dominates with restricted user partitions. Your thought is actually natural.
Linux "rsh" (restricted shell) can provide you with some jailed shell access function.
You can run a single MySQL instance but assign each user a different database. That serves the purpose.
Having each user on an IP perhaps is an overkill:-)Francis Kam - 38cloud - Unmetered VPS, KVM, China, Hong Kong

Thanks fkam17..
Well.. Actually i needed to make multiple sql instances because each user will want to create databases with any name.. This questions im making are just because im curious rsrs, i know i can use wild cards and etc.
So about mysql i can figure it out with google rs.
So fkam17.. Maybe its to much work for doing exactly what i want right? It would be easier to create limited virtual users, with individual network?

Perhaps the easiest, is to create a KVM VM for each user (or openvz... though I don't like openvz), assign an IP for each VM, and give each user a regular limited ability shell on his/her VM.
KVM is a very light weight. I run a few VM's on my Ubuntu notebook as I'm typing now. RAM is very cheap.
