Datashack.net Negative Review


I've been with datashack.net now for almost six months. However due to problems involving me losing my job. And possibly having my house repossessed I have had to get rid of almost every luxury possible. That involved cancelling my 12 month term with datashack earlier than anticipated and even college courses. I have had no problems with datashack whatsoever but the one time I needed to use their support they have disgusted me with their response times. It has been 10 days since my ticket has been opened and they still have not resolved it.

Let me briefly explain. I paid with my paypal account that has now been closed due to third party issues. Since it has been so long now I have started using my wife's account instead and have since forgotten my paypal details. I asked datashack to forward the paypal e-mail that I paid with (I know I should have kept logs but I wasn't thinking at the time) but they simply will not for some reason tell me the e-mail that I paid with. I told them to cross check the IP's, pay to my wife's VERIFIED paypal account or that they can even call me or I can call them to sort the issue out. They simply ignore me. It is now getting to the next month of my service and I can tell they will bill me for it when I want to cancel! I really didn't want to name and shame but it is getting to the point where this is silly now.

I haven't but I have tried for so long getting through his company's support I thought it wouldn't be worth the effort.

It definitely won't hurt to try. He's usually on WHT almost every day.

I don't see any problem with this. They said they can send the refund to the original account?

For sure, they will not send the money to other email other than the original payer. Not their fault.

Yes, true. Even i don't see any problem here. Datashack has agreed to pay to the original account and they are following business standard.

We do not offer refunds on our services. I will work to educate the techs on the correct response to tickets like this. (We just don't get any refund requests.)

Even in a case where we would offer a refund, an instance where we had failed to provide service under our terms, we would never refund a paypal payment to a different account.

In addition, paypal will only let us refund for 60 days.

I'm sorry you're having these personal issues but since we did not cause them we will be unable to assist you.

Okay so first you say you will provide me with a refund but now you say no even to the original account that I paid with? I'm only asking for a refund of the remaining term.

No. According to your own log, the first thing they said was that they don't offer refunds. Technically, according to your log, they never offered a refund.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but DataShack is not at fault here.

If possible, try to open your original PayPal account again. Contacting PayPal may be a good start.

Especially with the original closed account due to credit card issues and the OP unable to remember the account email address, they should definitely refuse a refund to another PayPal account. There are other considerations as well, such as AML regulation.

Sounds indeed like a bad set of circumstances that it out of DataShack's control. I'm glad to hear that they don't have problems of some other nature .
