Thanks. I had done this several years ago for a small business site and had forgotten about placing tags on a page. How long it'll hold up is another theory.
This is a great guy and was getting stomped on in the search engines my his main competitor. His competitor had the front page of Google smothered in all the yellow, white, green, blue books and pages and all the other ad campaign net companies. His web site was actually on the second page at the bottom behind all those pages and books.
My friend called me today and was laughing. He told me a friend had called him on the phone and said the guy was jumping mad because his site was on the top of Google listed 1,2 and 3 and his site was pushed out of the way.
I had an idea it would move his site up some but was a little surprised to see it listed 1, 2 and 3 on the 1st page of Google, Yahoo, Bing and Altavista in such a short period of time.
It is an older domain and the site was about 8 years old. We did a total rebuild on it, validated it and let it fly up to his host about 2 weeks ago.
We'll keep checking it and see how it holds up.
Have a great and safe weekend everyone.
