    Website loading slow? Why?

    I running a e-commerce website, using VPS hosting, but i feel that my website loading very slow, is it hosting problem or website problem? I using Joomla. I stay at Malaysia, duno is becos our country line is slow or other reasons to make my website loading slow, any 1 of u can giv me any suggestion?? Thank you thank you!!

    I am newbie on joomla. my website is http://dlayouts.com/

    It's very slow and not only for you!

    Do you have a VPS or webspace?

    Yap, i using vps now, last time i using shared host....

    It's a command (enter it via SSH as root) to show you the current ram usage.

    at my site i loading it take 25 sec to load. How to diaplay the page creation time?

    Which version of joomla do you use? I dont remember if it has such an option in admin panel but I think I have seen it.

    While your site/server could do with some optimisation.

    I got an average download speed from your site of 1.47 KB/s <--- which is pretty bad
    Unless your VPS is overloaded I think you should open a ticket with your provider.

    i try to access the SSH, but the page show me "default web site page"

    Enable debug mode on joomla admin panel and post here the results.

    As you do not seem to know a lot, if I were you I would open a ticket with the provider and just tell them you feel your VPS is to slow and ask them if they could take a look for you.

    Any decent provider shouldn't mind that.
