if you are looking to buy a VPS you may want to go with Virtuozzo for example. Just search for offers and compare the prices.
If you want to start to offer VPS servers then again, look at the prices. Solusvm is cheaper.
cpu usage is not related to virtuozzo or solusvm.

no, I dont want to offer vps services, I'm moving from a shared reseller account to vps.
I just need to know if it worth to save some money chossing a solusvm based vps.

It wouldn't cost you anything for either, the provider pays for this.

Yes, I know that, but seems to me that solusvm based vps are cheaper than virtuozzo's
Am I right?

Not necessarily. Different providers take into account overall costs in their pricing model so it wouldn't be right to say flat out that SolusVM providers will be cheaper than Virtuozzo

Just go with Virtuozzo at first or if you can test both.
It does not matter much if you are on Virtuozzo or OpenVZ if the node you are hosted on is overloaded.

Well, we use SolusVM because it seems to offer the best compromise between performance and features. I have played a little with Virtuozzo but never in a full on commercial level so I couldn't comment on it.
I have found SolusVM to be very user friendly and we've never had a ticket submitted because of the GUI.

I use Virtuozzo and OpenVZ currently.The kernel is the same except for the slm part (and others but not that important).
Anyway, test both first and then decide.

hi,
based on experience I'd recommend going with the one that you feel better with in terms of handling, look and feel, etc. The performance differences are negligible and mostly depend on the virtualisation technology. Have never had serious complaints about either Virtuozzo or SolusVM, just feature requests. Both essentially offer everything you need to manage your VPS on your own.
cheers -

SolusVM and/or Virtuozzo are the control panel used by the hosting provider to divide every VPS. The users have nothing to do on it.
You choose only the VPS specs that suit you the most. You can have your own control panel as well, depend which OS you choose. Website Panel or Pleask (Windows OS); or cPanel for Linux, and etc.

Rodrigo,
as long as both (and they do, one way or another) offer the following:
* reboot
* reinstall
* monitor resource usage
* change root/admin password
you should be fine with either. I personally prefer SolusVM, but if you find Virtuozzo easier - go with it: I really cant think of any significant technical reason why you should choose one control panel over the other for your VPS.
