In search of dedicated server with flexibility & top support
I'm back again for a kind request of people here who can recommend me a great dedicated server hoster. Specs:
4GB+ RAM
Intel quad core CPU 2.2GHz+
2x500GB (or higher) HDD's. I prefer WD brand if there is an option to specify a brand
My own Windows Server OS
unmetered or 2TB+/month in terms of bandwidth.
100/1GBPS if possible
KVM IP (on request if possible or permenant)
2xIP Addresses
unmanaged (I can generally manage it myself but require support from time to time)
support must be the best.
location? Ideally USA but UK is also fine.
budget? less is better but my budget really is $110USD/month

I think your budget may be a teeny bit low if you're looking for great support - I'm sure there's some fly by night hosts that can beat your budget, but you get what you pay for.
You're really close, though, so I bet if you contacted a few companies, you could probably get what you're looking for!

You're not going to get "the best support" and quad core at $110/m that I'm aware of. You might end up with decent support, but most likely a fairly standard unmanaged provider. Plenty of those types of providers available.

well corenetworks.net are fantastic in terms of support. i currently have a server with them, and have had it for around 3 years. fantastic and really good price. But now looking to get someone more local to the UK or even another server US based but faster bandwidth/ports.
I will happily stick with dual

I love this city.
If you drop to dual core, you should be fine, budget wise!

Quad core with great support is going to be really hard to find. $110 is kinda on the low side of the budget. As Eric said, if you dropped your quad core to a Dual Core, you'll be totally fine with that kind of budget. Quad core is a little on the hard side to get.

There are quad core specials sub $100 posted in the dedicated servers offers forum all the time. However you mentioned unmanaged and support in the same sentence, at most providers unmanaged = no support (especially if kvm is included).

I don't really see many people offering i5 because the pricing of i5 and i7 is kinda almost the same. i3 would be more of a choice. Consider i3 or maybe an older Xeon. Either way, your budget does not really push very far.

thanks. but I do think its a reasonable budget. im not looking for medium size or corp/enterprise use at all. just something good and solid, like i have with corenetworks but looking for another provider.

I don't this someone will actually allow this? Normally you can't just provide your personal license to hosts and they'll do this for you.

Of course they (not all) will. I have done so in the past and will continue doing it utilizing my own SPLA.
