Reselling to another country

whats up everyone...so this is my question:

i am thinking of getting a reseller account from hostgator and then resell to another country with local domain which would be .cl (CHILE) ...now i have a few concerns....1- obviously, the main language is spanish , therefore would i be able to change the language on Cpanel to start from default in spanish ?

2- i was doing some market research on webhosting sites for that country and noticed that some sites charge tax and others dont so i dont know how to go about that....
i would assume that maybe the ones that do charge tax have their servers locally and the ones that dont have their servers offshore//maybe reselling too?

and by the way does Newyork pay tax on reseller hosting (just asking since it is a business and you are getting profit)

well thats all for now hope i can get answers.

1) Yes, you can change the language of your cPanel to Spanish
2) I would recommend that you consult with a business attorney about this

Self employment tax to I.R.S. and to New York state

@OP If you are in New York state and you file as an Individual, reporting Self Employment earnings on Schedule C, with the I.R.S. on your Federal return you will need to pay Self Employment Tax, if your Net earnings are more than USD$400. Probably, if you have Self Employment earnings above a certain amount, that will be included in your Taxable Income, on your New York State Income Tax return.

Consult a C.P.A. or Enrolled Agent, for accurate information. I am *not* a tax professional.

If Hostgator can handle .cl domains you should be fine with them.

Whether or not you charge your Chilean customers their local tax (VAT or IVA?), if you are not located in Chile, is another matter and I don't know the answer to that one. Possibly you can get that information from the Chilean tax authorities in Santiago de Chile.

Not sure about the cPanel in Spanish question. Suggest you search cpanel.net for that information. GL and welcome to WHT

CPanel has the option of changing the messages default language.

About the taxes question:
In most countries you only charge sales tax (also called IVA/IGV) when you sell to customers who live in your same country.
