User redirection based on Location??


Hi,
Can any one tell me the html code for User redirection based on Location i.e if any user visit our website usa it should direct them to .us domain instead of .com domain.

Check ip2location.com, you need to use the database from them. Then search google for 'geo tracking using ip2location'

I would recommend using the MaxMind IP database. They offer a free database to download along with various classes in different languages to use the database, which sounds like that is all you would need.

This is easy to do with MaxMind's GeoIP offering.

Also you could just redirect using mod_rewrite based on the ISP names if you have hostnamelookups.

We've done this in an nginx reverse proxy setup before based on country using the maxmind database to run tests on splitting US traffic into one server and European / everywhere else into a different server.
