Visited boston once before for a conference. It was nice enough but not omg I have to go back, and the travel arrangements were a lot less convenient than other places I've been. So yeah I would prefer a different city as well.

boston is actually a great destination as it has that real small-town/city like feel and its located in the east and it must be a plus to most that are members of wht.

I am close to Boston, so I am quite happy about it. Boston sucks to drive in. So, taxi from airport to hotel and then walk/subway and you will be happier than driving.

And careful, as anywhere, that you avoid the tourist trap restaurants and go to some of the better places. I do not have any names as of yet, but ask a local. Legal Seafoods is always good.

It is a great walking city. Most of the roads were originally cow paths. And we all know, cows love to walk

It looks like they really spruced up the hotel, Sheraton I believe. I am really looking forward to this. Something to help me get thru the winter.

I like Boston as the venue for 2012. But, I do get a little apprehensive flying out of Logan. The proximity of the runways to the water is a little unnerving.

When will the call for speakers be posted on the HostingCon site? Based on talking to some people at the 2011 event, I think a presentation about niche market opportunities might be quite interesting to many.

    Unhappy

Bummer I missed the San Diego one. I live near LA so it'd just be a hop, skip, and a jump down there. Hopefully I'll make the 2012 one

Is there an official Facebook page or event for HostingCon 2012? I see a page, but it only has three attendees. Either it's a duplicate page or people are really skittish about confirming on FB!

It's still pretty early. It really starts to pick up 2 - 3 months from the conference.
