Looks like it'll be in Boston from
    July 16-18

Just checked into the Hilton here in San Diego. The HostingCon site has been down since I got here. Somehow Southwest Airlines managed to get us here 4 hours early but I cant check the schedule to see where I want to be.

I can get to it when I RDP back in Tampa but not from Hilton 1 block away from the conference.

Their website is still down but using a Proxy can help you navigate the website.

And yes, HostingCon 2012 is in Boston next year.

Boston should be interesting. I hear the great dig is done, so it shouldn't take ages to make it across town anymore, and it's a beautiful city. Now.... time to book the hotels...

Yes, it has. The industry has "grown up" quite a bit.

This year, more so than the past 5 years combined, was very productive for us on the business front. Historically HostingCon had been nothing more than one giant bar crawl. Not to say that does not still exist, not drinking during the event made for a very interesting spectator sport

We'll be in Boston, look for a booth and party

It's "matured" somewhat, as has the industry - a lot of new faces this year, as many previous attendee's no longer in business, having gone t1tsup.com or sold out to larger organisations - the way it's shifting, it'll just be 5 clouds who sell clouds to other clouds next year, all owned by telco's

No joke. It's almost like the "fog" never lifted at the convention (cloud joke, get it?). Everyone pushing cloud, talking about cloud. Cloud is just about charging more money for something that's not that special compared to what came before. No doubt there will be a lot of hype for anything that can drive margins like that, but I don't see it as being very compelling for customers with typical needs.
