Yes, I'm working on getting my post count up. Not to be difficult (I can certainly understand restricting access to the advertising forums until a user has contributed to the community) - but don't you reason it's a little counterproductive to make users participate so they can write a tutorial? Both answering questions and writing tutorials are providing valuable information to the community.
Had I known beforehand that I'd have to invest all this extra work, I probably wouldn't have written the tutorial to start with. I wouldn't be surprised if others feel the same way. I'm an engineering student. I'm busy enough already.
(I hope you don't take offence to this, I'm mainly just blowing smoke to get my post count up).
