What happens if you sell vps without root access,can you still sell it as vps?

Some people do this and market it as 'fully managed VPS' and they claim that the lack of root is to protect them from themselves.
If the client is fully aware that root isn't available and they still buy it, then I don't think that's a problem?

Absolutely, you can. Though most customers usually require root access with their VPS.

It depends on customer's knowledge. If he knows a lot of thins about vps then he can demand root access otherwise he will be happy to have only cpanel as he can consider only cpanel as MANAGED vps.

Yes it happens sometimes and probably you will be paying more without root access (managed fully) rather than with root access (self managed)

Yep, its a good way to go for customers who need the resources of a VPS, but don't want to take time from running their business to learn how to become a linux server administrator.

You can however you would certainly limit the market of potential buyers, as most I think would prefer the root access.
