Do reliable offshore web hosting companies exist?
I've used a few hosts such as biohost,*******,shinjiru and etc but I seem to have the feeling they don't really care about their customers because their support response time is somewhat long compared to wiredtree.
Anyway, enough of my complaining, I was wondering has anyone on WHT had a good experience with an offshore webhost with Shared or VPS and if so please link me

How do you consider it as reliable? Honestly, it is very much user experience. If a slow support response time is what made you feel they are un-reliable then I supposed there should be plenty of them depending on the loads of ticket they received at the time you report.
And yes, there is some reliable offshore webhost that are willing to listen to their customer side or at least care about their customer and treat them like a loyalty.

To be honest most of the people that are looking for off shore hosting want to do something that is considered ilegal, as a result there are not many 'big players' in the market and normally a lot of smaller hosts that just go under fairly quick - quality is hard to find.
What kind of website are you wanting to run?

I agree with Tom on this one sadly, though why do you want to host offshore?

This logically web hosts that break the law wont be up and running for very long. The law is a tricky area as well many people think that taking a server offshore means they can avoid legal issues but the truth of the matter is regardless of where the server is held you have the abide by the laws of the country you live in.

My website may have "legal" adult content on it but I've read through a few of the Terms of some webhosts and they seem to be against any sort of adult content.
That's the only reason I want it offshore because they seem to not have anything against this
Edit:
People really are suspecting me of planning to host a warez website just because I mentioned offshore.

Just a general question about offshore hosting: What countries are considered as offshore when talking about webhosting? All countries outside the USA?

some hosting providers allow adult conent where as some dont.
As far as you are hosting legal content there will not be any issues with it, but if your site contain any illegal material then its your responsibility to remove it, other wise you may face serious issues (some time fine, jail etc.).
You can search for hosting providers which allow adult content but in case if any abuse complaint is raised against your site then your hosting provider will terminate your site if the complaint is legal.

I am constantly amazed by this 'offshore' hosting and the fact that many people seem to define it as 'illegal'.
Also, everyone seems to think that OFFshore is outside the US. Why??
Technically speaking, offshore is outside of the territory where YOU are.
Some examples:
- if you are in the US, then any servers outside the US would be offshore for you
- if you are in Europe, like me, then a US server would be offshore for me.
So, although offshore is labelled as 'illegal', I honestly fail to see why.
It is of course true that different countries have different rules, but as far as I know, something that really is illegal (drugs, warez, etc.) is going to be illegal wherever you go, and will certainly not be allowed by any host that is legal itself.

Usually when they ask for offshore but don't give location they're usually upto no good. If OP said he needed offshore <insert country> it'd be different because then we know he actually understands what offshore means and doesn't just mean he's after server in say Netherlands or Finland where DMCA requests are ignored, etc.
So OP should try to be a bit more specific when asking for offshore or we just think the worst.

I dare say that koddos company is the quality offshore provider.
I state that because I have used them personally. No complaints about their services.

Offshore can be considered any country outside US. So, you should have to tell about the country then you will be provided proper guideline.

You as the O.P. are from Australia and you are doing porn, so I see where you are going with this (legality). I would like to know you definition of "off shore" however.
Are you talking about some third world place, or are you lumping in the U.S. and U.K. as there are plenty of solid hosting companies all over the world no matter the country. Many allow porn websites as long as the content is LEGAL (no CP, beasts, etc.).
