I sold a domain through goDaddy for more than 1k. The thing is today i receive a confirmation from escrow.com that the money is in place, and i am now expected to transfer the domain.

The thing is i have no idea where to transfer it or what to do next. I am expected to wait for a goDaddy or buyer or what. I dont want to make a wrong transfer and end up without the domain and without the money.

And furthermore, what happends if i finally transfer the domain and the buyer claims he never got it, when in fact he did.

Escrow checks things such as Whois info and makes sure that the transfer has been succesful. They have to know beforehand to whom you are going to transfer, so there is no way for your buyer to claim he didn't got it. Nevertheless ask directly to Escrow, they can give you a more precise anwser.

I already ask, im awaiting for an answer, nevertheless my inquery was because i have my whois private (by domainByProxy). And who is to say I tranfer the domain and the buyer could get it and make it private too. This way no change would be aparent but he keeps the domain, and the money.

Ohhh, one last one, who starts the transfer? the buyer or me? im not exacly sure where do i have to tranfer the domain. I only get de mail on escrow. GoDaddy is not help at all.

of course if you 've the domain to sell then you 'll transfer the domain and buyer 'll transfer the money!

yeah i know, but i read in help.godaddy.com/article/941?locale=en something that tip me off. And i quote,

"For transferring the domain name, you must wait for the buyer to initiate the transfer with the buyer's registrar. The registrar or buyer will contact you for further instructions."

And again, what happens if i have my whois private (by domainByProxy). And the buyer could get it and make it private too. How does escrow confirms the transfer?
