Hello everyone
I've been doing a bit of research on these companies (comparing deals, traceroute, etc) but I can't seem to decide...does anyone know anything good/bad about these hosters or have any experience with them?
[company name (plan)]
- amhosting.com (Basic virtual domain)
- interserver.net (mini plan)
- below10host.com (gold plan)
- ddns.com (virtual hosting)
Any comments on these hosts would be greatly appreciated, suggestions for hosts are also welcome.
Thanks very much

I don't have any experience with any of them, so I can't give any direct input. Have you tried searching this forum for posts about them? Seems to me there have been posts about at least two of them.
Sorry I can't be of more help,

I would suggest that you search in the newsgroup (usenet) at deja.com. You should find some info if the hosts are not too new.

Nixer,
Geez... Be patient!
DDNS.com - have had no experience with them, so can't comment.
Interserver has had some reasonably good comments in Usenet (alt.www.webmaster) so you might want to keep an eye on them.
American Web Hosting has excellent reviews in some of the 'host investigation' places around, and haven't heard too many complaints, so they're worth checking out.
I've left Below10host for last because they're my current host and they are fantastic! I'm also on the gold plan at the moment.
They run on the Alabanza network (=stable servers, fast connections/redundancy, etc.), and although they only have 9-5 support, you really only use them for account problems or any other non-technical problems (which are extremely rare). Support is friendly and polite.
Just from my personal experience, I highly recommend below10host.

below10host - BC, should he wander through this way, will have some good things to say about them. (And I see that after I posted this, a message showed up from BC saying Good Things.)
amhosting - They don't offer "unlimited", and explain why in their FAQs. Good sign. Otherwise, can't really find anything on them.
interserver - Same as amhosting. I note a message board for support at the site that is pretty active and gets quick response(s) to questions.
ddns - Says unlimited, which I (personally) don't like. Other than that, no news.
Cheers.

LOL @ Annette
Always give credit where it's due. I've been satisfied for the last few months, and will hopefully continue to be.... Unless those ASP projects get in the way, then I'll have to set up or move new sites to Your-Site... *grumble*

Thanks for all the input! If anyone has more please don't hesitate to post!
Below10host looks excellent then...
Too bad I can't say the same for their support team. I've sent a couple of emails to them in the past 2-3 days and have had no response so far.
BC: how long did it take you to get your account up and running? Also, what is your site URL?
Thanks again everyone, I appreciate the help.

Support should be generally fine once you sign up. They put more preference on answering tech questions (or ppl who sign up), but when they do get the time sales support is there. So keep persisting
They'll get your account up within the next 24 hours, and often set it up first thing in the morning. You'll get an e-mail stating your info etc.
I don't really wanna say where my site is, simply because I've had to do a complete re-design of the site (aiming for something more spectacular, and it's top secret ), but you can still check it out for pinging/uptime analysis : http://www.bum.cx - you'll only get a blank page with some writing there
That domain will change soon, when I get enough time to complete the re-design, hopefully in the next few weeks. I've got exams starting next week... ARRRGHHHH.
