serveroutsource unreachable?

Hello,

I've been trying to reach their web site for a while, without much success. Any news on that?

Thanks

prime,

The site (serveroutsource.net) is coming up via a 3rd party connection.

I also looked at ipMonitor, and it does not show that the server or network have had any outages.

Or where you trying to access serveroutsource.com?

prime,

I get this problem too ... from home, I'm often not able to view their home page, but if I go onto another machine and telnet to serveroutsource.net on port 80 and do a get, I get a reply. It's very strange.

lotuslnd,

Telnet?

What are your IP's, maybe the firewall has them blocked.
If you can send them directly to me at dkeefer@serveroutsource.net, I will take a look.

Hi,

Just wanted to add that I have this issue, I actually have a server with you guys and I havent been able to get at your website 'normally' since I ordered.

I have been going via a proxy my ISP has instead whenever I need to get at any info, but it appears that is blocked now also

Not a great deal to me, I'll email you my IP sometime soon if I get a chance, but you may want to look at why your firewall is banning innocent people

I'm just glad I'm not banned from my server

This firewall is actually on our server.

If you try to connect to a port that is not open, it will first automatically block the IP for a day, then if it continues, the firewall switches it to forever.

If you need a test IP, please contact us.
ICMP is closed on our server, as are some other ports.

I'm probably blacklisted too, for some reason. And in my case too, it happened right after I placed an order.

That may be why I can't access my mrtg stats (sent an email regarding that to support).

I'll send my IP @ the address above.

Thanks for the explanation David.

Sounds a fair enough system. I'm sure however that I simply pinged your system once for a test when I first found your site, and getting no response I emailed for a test IP which sure enough you provided and worked great. I then ordered that night (or the night after) and obviously havent had a need to connect to any strange ports since.

However, I'm not going to argue, maybe something happened at my end or with my ISPs rather oddly behaving proxy servers My partners are able to access your site, so its no big issue.

Thanks once again for the explanation though, and the excellent service

We do not give out what type of firewalls we use.
