Internet Explorer 9 Settings

Hi guys...

I'm so totally confused over the settings of IE9. U know last time where you click on someone's name and etc, there will be an option available to Send PM, View their Posts and etc? Well...

I just installed IE9 and everything seems to be different. Whenever I click on someone's name, it will take me there. It's like the script or something which will have a dropdown available is NO LONGER there. I am really confused over that as I would like to have the old style back. Where scripts and etc are still working.

Does anyone know what I have to enable again to get that back? Where is it located and etc? Really need some help over here. Is there anything else which changed? Why must they change stuff there? Grrrrr.... Not happy at all!!!

Looks fine to me in IE9
Perhaps some previous plugin or addon has become corrupted
Therefore either repair, or uninstall, rollback to IE8 and reinstall

Personally I am not impressed with IE9 as it has larger text in the favourites bar and has messed about with some views in Windows Mail

Here is how you fix it.

Open IE9, in URL field enter either:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox...rom=getfirefox
or
http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en...tml?brand=CHKZ

Download and install

Yeah, the OP is correct. IE9 seems to be having some fun with how WHT normally works.

Horizontal scroll bars, Ajax not working, etc.

I know after upgrading I had to update MANY of our Ajax files across client websites (Wordpress). Maybe it's slightly related!?

Guaranteed to save you some headache in the future.

However, I'm not liking what Firefox is becoming lately. What happened to simple, low memory, etc. Now days my Firefox (without add-ons) and multiple tabs open can push 500MB-1.5GB's memory.

I am anti Google's anonymous reporting systems so I use Chromium. Which I love... It's so much better on memory/cpu. Kind of a drawback though is I have had flash problems on Linux/Mac as well as ajax/js issues intermittently. Pretty much don't use anything but Chromium now days. Firefox for webmail since apparently Chromium doesn't understand it =/

Did anyone find a way to get AJAX working again on IE9? Or maybe other script related stuff?

I remember Firefox being quite low on memory - completely the opposite now!

But anyway OP, you might want to enable compatibility view and see if that fixes the issue.

IE9 is a huge improvement over IE8 though. I don't know why Microsoft kept the ugly IE7, IE8 user interface for so long for a start.
