Can you install WHMCS just once per domain?
Or can you uninstall and reinstall as long as you have their license?

I haven't found any GOOD free billing software for a hosting business. The one that's been around the longest, I think, is phpCOIN, but I found it hard to configure, and it doesn't automate account creation, sync with your domain registrar, etc. But, it is free.

AccountLab Plus is pretty popular and works pretty good in my opinion (especially for being free). Its somewhat limited, but I think it serves its purpose (especially if you are just starting out and looking to save money).

You can reissue licenses. Use it to xxx.com then move to abc.com. It will still work but you need to reissue the license.

^ It's free to re-issue.
WHMCS costs $15.95 per month to operate so in theory it is not a free billing system, once you order the license you can use and then download the software direct from the Client Area though do not misconceive this as a free billing system.

Maybe buying the WHMCS one time license is the better option.
After Paying the amount and I think it can be kept lifelong.

If you can afford it, then it is a much better option overall.
