GAME SERVER RESELLING: Suggestions and Opinions

I have a paticular niche market where i will want to resell game servers...but i have no clue about game servers...i checked with counter-strike.com and their reseller program seems to suit me...as i can resell it to some customers with a profit margin...what actually am i selling them??? is it just an IP address or what is it??? I may sound stupid but if you can give me some insight into this it will be grateful..and is their any better game server than counter-strike???

P.S: I dont want to take the trouble of renting a dedicated server or something like that..looking for something like the reseller programme.

Please help me out and give me your tips and opinions

You would be selling access to a server that's configured to handle their gaming connections.

Yes, Uzil. You'll need a gaming control panel, an operational web hosting account with properly configured hardware requirements, and the ability to bill clients.

For a simple foray into the arena, a reseller account for a reliable GSP should suffice.

It has a huge effect. If you don't understand the concept of latency and game servers you may not be ready to move forward.

Whatever system you employ will have to meet specific hardware and software requirements to run the game server software. You can't scrimp and expect good results.

You want your game servers to be where they are closest to the users. People will buy your game servers based on their location and price. There are certain fundamentals to this market that you will need to understand.

Im sorry for troubling im actually new to game servers..i have a good potential for that market at my place..i want to do it as part time so that i can earn extra money...but i don't have much time to go through the dedicated server process...i went through counter-strike.com and was interested with their re-seller program.

What am i supposed to do if theirs no server in my country??? and can you please share with me about the fundamentals and any other options that you can give me

The game server provider will most likely provide the game server software pre-installed on their servers, all you do is take money from your customers and give most of it to your server provider and they take care of the rest. And once the server is setup, they'll send you the login details, which you then send to your customer.

You're basically just passing along money and information between the two parties and taking a little bit of the profit.
