Single Client Login for CPanel, WHMCS client area and Webmail

I am looking forward to setting up my client area with WHMCS so that my clients will be able to use a single login into the client area to manage their website, domains, SSL certificates, Email accounts and Billing. If this is possible share ideas on how to realize that.

There isn't any good way to do this. About the only way I could think to do this is to disable the user's ability to change their cPanel password and disable them being able to view it via WHMCS and forcing them to use the "Log into control panel" via WHMCS. You'd need to write a custom module for WHMCS to handle webmail but none of this is ideal.

I can understand wanting to simplify this as much as possible for your clients but short of writing your own systems that are cohesive I doubt you'll achieve exactly what you're after.

My head hurts just trying to realize how all this would work from a single central interface Good luck with it though, it would be nice to have.

It would be doable, but WHMCS wouldn't be the central location. You could use the cPanel and WHMCS APIs to centralize everything but, as far as I know, there is no solution out there that does this. It would need to be custom coded and I can't say how well it would work. It's likely more trouble than it's worth.

Anyway this is what made me thought of that https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/account/cpanel?step=cpanel but I do not think that they are using WHMCS, you can try the demo at http://www.bluehost.com/cgi/demo. I just like the way everything uses a centralized login from their homepage. in that case clients dont have to worry about multiple login for cpanel, whmcs billing etc. do you guys know if they use but WHMCS?

Chances are all of that is on the same VPS or server anyway, so it's already a single point.

It's a custom billing system with custom integration into their other systems either via API or by some other means. There isn't any system out there that does this that I know of as I said previously - it would be a custom coding project.

You'd want to be SUPER careful with this sort of thing because you could very easily create a security issue where billing information and/or cPanel/hosting information could be compromised.

Sorry but I think this is impossible to do without some VERY clever PHP coding. This is because these applications are closed source and all use difference methods of logging in.

Like Hostgator and some others, you can add a Billing category in the cPanel interface, with icons that takes your customer to the different areas of your billing zone.

+1, it would be the best solution.

hmmm sounds interesting, have never used host gators cpanel before, but if that the case, does Cpanel allow you customize that?

Hostgators panel is overly cluttered for my liking, It is customized for their theme but that is all I really like about it.

Of course, you can do that! here are just a few links if you want to achieve it:

    http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/vie...entKit/WebHome
    http://www.evohosting.co.uk/blog/web...-icons-groups/

    It's quite easy

With some experience, you can do a perfect integration using PHP + cPanel API, we have already made some custom cpanel pages with some useful tools (but nothing related to billing), you can do that or simply put an iframe embedding the client area!

Remember that these "icons" can be disabled in the WHM Feature Manager.

    Bye.
