If you have a quad-core with hyper-threading, you'll see 8 threads. With KVM, each VM can have up to 16 virtualized cores.
That'll correspond to however many threads the VM process will use, but you shouldn't assign more cores than the total in the host.
SolusVM doesn't really handle hyper-threading cores in this case. The kernel takes care of things.
