Having issues sending mail on a new host - think it's spam

We have a VPS Dedicated server with a hosting company and we are now in the process of transferring 30 domains to the new server. We are doing it one-by-one in order to make sure everything is working on the sites before we go on to the next one.

One of the issues we have come across is outgoing mail either going to spam boxes or not being received at all.

When we log into Horde (domain.com/mail or webmail.domain.com) we can receive emails but when we send a test mail out the only clients that receive the mail is Hotmail (and in the junk mail folder).

It sounds to me like the new IP address is being stopped by spam filters but we're not sure about that.

Can anyone lend insight into why this is happening and what to do? Our new host isn't being very helpful with the issue.

    Thanks.

Yes that's normal those 3 always time out for some reason.

Have you set your rDNS on the IP or asked your host/DC to do it?

also put your IP in to http://www.mxtoolbox.com/diagnostic.aspx

Here is what that form generates. I'm not sure what it means though.

I had a similar problem, and it was my hostname reverting to a non FQDN ('beef' instead of 'beef.hostkabob.com'). In WHM, you can look at the mail queue manager and see the rejection reasons in the mail that is "frozen" there (if you have a cPanel/WHM VPS).
